Wow, Pumpkin, Wow

Two of my favorite parts of life are Halloween and Twin Peaks. I love just totally going for it when I carve Pumpkins. I'm having my first party at the Bungalow this Halloween. The theme (there's always a theme) is "Krime Scene". Why the "k"? It's a nod to my favorite t-shirt of all time. It was a black and white picture of something I can't remember. Underneath, it read, "Konstantly kriticized for having phun". Can you think of anything more awesome? I know; me neither. So anyway, the party's theme is "Krime Scene", and going as a particular victim. Also, I carved the face of evil incarnate into this year's pumpkin. That's all I'll say for now. More will be revealed in time.

My Boho-Western-Hippie Chic Necklace

I kept putting together outfits that really needed an interesting accessory to take them over the top. I saw a few different necklaces here and there and combined them to create a fantasy of the perfect necklace (for some outfits). That's when it occurred to me that I could totally make my fantasy necklace into a reality necklace. I've made a few of these so far, and I'm considering putting a couple of them on Etsy to see what happens. It turns out that this necklace goes with a lot more than I realized.

Stuff I Make

I like to make stuff. I would say that I like to make "items", but I'm not sure that everything I make could be classified as an item so I'm going with stuff... for now. Anyway, I'm always making something. Usually, I'm making food. Often, I'm making invitations. When I'm in the mood, I'm making cute outfits. Lately, I've been making a lot of fabric items (curtains, costumes, etc.). Whenever possible, I like to try to make something that I've never made before.

The other day it occurred to me that making stuff is kind of cool, and maybe I should start a blog about all the stuff I make. So I did, and I called it "Persimmon & Peacock". This is that blog. May you enjoy it, and may you rock on.
